The city council in Rapid City, South Dakota, plans a meeting to discuss an outdoor Native art market, living history village and powwow grounds.
The Alliance of Tribal Tourism Advocates is developing the project, which would be located near the Journey Museum. Alderwoman Deb Hadcock said neighbors want to know what's going on.
"Some neighbors don't understand what's going on with the project," Hadcock said, The Rapid City Journal reported.
"It's an exciting project, but it's just something they want some more information on."
The city has pledged nearly $1 million for the project.
