A Native American should be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, according to a U.S. News & World Report poll.
In response to the question, "President Obama appears eager to bring diversity to the Supreme Court, having picked the first Hispanic to sit on the bench. If presented with a second chance, which should he pick?", a whopping 50 percent said: "Native American." That was more than twice the rate (19 percent) of the next response: "Asian."
Past presidents have appointed women and African-Americans to the court.
The Senate is set to confirm Judge Sonia
Sotomayor as the first Hispanic on the court, though more than half of Senate Republicans plan to vote against her.
