Former Cheyenne-Arapaho official sentenced
Roy Dean Bullcoming, a former council member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, was sentenced to three years in federal prison for theft.

Bullcoming pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $100,000 from the tribe. He admitted he took money for his personal use and for his girlfriend.

Judge Stephen P. Friot sentenced Bullcoming to a sentence that was more than twice the maximum term recommended by federal guidelines, The Oklahoman reported.

More than a dozen former tribal officials and former tribal employees have been indicted in connection with thefts from the tribe.
