Most of Indian Country seems to have skipped the Republican National
Convention but California tribes helped out their fellow state citizens this week.
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians sponsored events of donated money to the California delegation. The California Nations Indian Gaming Association also helped send the delegation to Minnesota.
California tribes also helped the California delegation to the Democratic National
Convention in Denver last week.
The RNC ends today.
