The Seneca Nation of New York released an economic impact study on Tuesday.

The report from the Taylor Policy Group says the tribe took in $1.136 billion in revenues, a slight decline from 2005. But the number of full-time employees has grown to 6,311, up from 5,200 in 2006.

Overall, the tribe has a regional economic impact of $820 million, according to the study. That's just as much as the University at Buffalo and more than the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills, according to the report.

Most of the tribe's revenue comes from gaming. Tobacco revenues declined due to the state's attempts to restrict sales on the reservation, according to the study.
