The Seneca Nation of New York will be releasing an economic impact study today, The Dunkirk Evening Observer reports.
The title of the study is "The Seneca Nation Economy: Its Foundations, Size and Impact On New York State and the Western New York Region." The study cites a $1.1 billion impact on the economy, according to the paper.
The tribe operates gas stations, convenience stores and three gaming facilities. Tribal members operate a number f tobacco businesses on the reservation.
