The Mille Lacs Band of
Ojibwe in Minnesota elected Marge Anderson as its chief executive on Tuesday.
Anderson held the job from 1991 to 2000. She ran again in 2008 but lost to Melanie Benjamin, who was recently ousted amid allegations of financial wrongdoing.
Anderson plans to focus on preserving the language, creating a more open government, diversifying the tribe's economy and developing a long-term plan for the tribe.
