A reported 150 people met at sacred Bear Butte in South Dakota for the Spiritual Unity of Tribes Gathering of Eagles over the weekend.
The gathering started 19 years ago in Canada. It has been held in the Black Hills, at Bear Butte, on the Navajo Nation and other locations.
"The idea is to get together and learn how to get along with each other and live in unity," organizer Clayton Uptain told The Rapid City Journal.
Participants from as far away as Australia attended the gathering.
