A severe windstorm destroyed homes and damaged property on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana last week.
The storm brought winds between 75 and 95 miles per hour. One gust was clocked at 110 miles per hour.
State Rep. Shannon Augare, a Democrat from the reservation, has set up a bank account to help victims of the storm. "Im sad to say that many people in my district are in survival mode Food will need to be bought, demolished homes will need to be built," he said, The Great Falls Tribune reported.
The Blackfeet Energy Wind Fund was set up at the First Interstate Bank. Call Augare for more information at 406.450.0020.
