The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community of Michigan has made some changes at the top of its leadership.
The tribe will now have a chairman and a chief executive officer. Up until now, one person served in both posts.
At a council meeting on Saturday, Larry Denomie was appointed CEO. Susan LaFernier, who was holding both positions, will remain chairman.
Also on Saturday, the council welcomed its new members and said goodbye to old ones. Bradley Dakota was sworn in as chief judge.
