Haskell University develops women's health program

Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas is hosting a semester-long program to focus on women's health.

Each month will be dedicated to different topics such as cancer, diabetes, eating habits, exercise and mental health. This month, it's heart disease, the number one killer of women.

Debra Thompson spearheaded the program. She organized a luncheon today, on National Wear Red Day, to educate women at Haskell about being healthy.

Thompson was spurred into action by the death of her father to a massive heart attack. Her mother also has suffered hear attacks.
