Shooting victim Mike Gibb: "While I applaud the efforts of the San Carlos Police Department in apprehending the alleged shooter of vehicles traversing the reservation, I remain somewhat skeptical of the quickness of the arrest and, indeed, if the real suspect was nabbed.
Well, in my opinion, when a school bus window is shot and my truck window is also shattered, I would say that action was intentional and specifically done for that purpose. If, as the police chief insists, the boy wasnt aiming at these vehicles, then how did they get hit? I doubt the kid was trying to shoot a dove on the fly with a single-shot pellet gun!
Likewise, the skill level needed to hit these targets traveling approximately 50 miles per hour would seem to surpass the ability of a 12-year-old boy firing from several hundred feet away with a pellet gun."
Sandra Rambler: "I was really saddened to read about an incident that occurred recently in our Bylas District. It made me think, especially about our youth. The article appeared on the front page of the Eastern Arizona Courier, which is published from Safford in Graham County. The news was about a young 12-year-old Apache boy who had shot a pellet gun at a vehicle coming through that held a family a father, the wife and their child."
