Northern Cheyenne player back on basketball court

Dane Fisher, a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe of Montana, is back on the basketball court after a year-long absence from Bismarck State College in North Dakota.

Fisher took the year off to be with his dying grandfather, who lived on the reservation. "My grandfather affected me. It was a hard loss for me. I was close to that guy," he told The Billings Gazette.

Before dying, Fisher grandfather's encouraged him to go back to school. He's now playing as a sophomore, and has averaged 26.2 points a game since returning.
