The Tonto Apache Tribe of Arizona has struck a deal with the town of Payson to find a long-term water source.
The tribe and the town will work together in a new spirit of cooperation, officials said. Both sides are developing a schedule and a list of goals to accomplish.
The tribe currently receives water from the town and is expanding the infrastructure on the reservation.
