In conjunction with Native American Heritage Month, PBS is debuting �Indian Country Diaries,� a two-part look at Indian life.
The first part looks at urban Indians in Los Angeles who preserve their identity post-relocation. The second part explores the successes and challenges facing the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina.
The producing team of �Indian Country Diaries" are Carol Patton Cornsilk (Cherokee) and Frank Blythe (Eastern Band of Cherokee/Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota), Phil Lucas (Choctaw) and Hanay Geiogamah (Kiowa). Other Native journalists and producers worked on the individual parts.
