The Confederated Grand Ronde Tribes of Oregon donated money to a Republican candidate for the state Legislature.
Fred Girod, a candidate for House District 17, reported a $1,000 contribution from the tribe. The Albany Democrat-Herald did not explain why the tribe might have donated the money.
