Yahoo! brings time capsule to Jemez Pueblo
Friday, October 27, 2006
Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico made history this week as the host of a time capsule developed by Yahoo!, the Internet search company. The tribe's Red Rock Canyon was used to broadcast 15 hours of digital material contained in the capsule. The Seasons Dancers of Jemez Pueblo participated in the living exhibit. Yahoo! chose Jemez due to its age and history. The area was settled as far back as 800 B.C. The contents of the time capsule will be beamed into space after the three-night run at Jemez ends tonight.
