Hualapai Tribe expects big boost in tourists

The Hualapai Tribe of Arizona expects a big boost in tourism once it opens a glass skywalk over the Grand Canyon.

Construction is still underway on the unique structure, perched 4,000 feet above the canyon. The tribe expects a grand opening at the end of this year.

The skywalk is part of the Grand Canyon West, the tribe's $40 million tourism venture. About 500 people visit every day, with the number expected to double once the skywalk opens to the public.
