A 14-year-old Native boy is missing and may be traveling with a convicted pedophile who is suspected in the kidnapping of a 10-year-old boy.
Jordan Bruyere, 14, was last seen July 22 in Brandon, Manitoba. His father had left him temporarily with Peter Whitmore, a co-worker who was going under a false name. Only later did his family find out that Whitmore, 35, was a convicted sex offender.
A few days later, 10-year-old Zachary Miller went missing in Whitewood, Saskatchewan. Whitmore and Bruyere are believed to have been in the area at the time.
A Canada-wide Amber Alert has been issued for Miller. But Bruyere is being treated as a missing person. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are searching across Western Canada for Whitmore and the two boys.
Anyone with information is urged to call 1-877-SO-AMBER or 1-877-762-6237.
