Hualapai Tribe still working on Grand Canyon skywalk
Tuesday, August 1, 2006
Some tourists are already showing up to the Grand Canyon in hopes of experiencing the Hualapai Tribe's latest attraction: a glass skywalk 4,000 feet above the canyon. But the skywalk at Grand Canyon West, the tribe's destination spot, isn't open yet. The horseshoe-shaped structure was expected to be completed by midsummer but the tribe is still working on it. When it's finally open the public, the tribe hopes it will be a big draw. More than 250,000 people visit the western rim of the Grand Canyon, representing a potentially huge source of income for the tribe. Get the Story:
