Monique Vondall-Rieke, a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, is the new director of the Native Media Center at the University of North Dakota.
Vondall-Rieke earned her bachelor's and law degrees from UND. She was most recently working for UND's College of Business and Public Administration on rural and reservation issues.
She replaces Paul Boswell, a White Earth Ojibwe man who died in February after sustaining injuries from a car accident.
