The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and its business corporation have sued a contractor over an unfinished housing project on the tribe's Minnesota reservation.
The tribe hired Morrison County Wallfab to build up to 100 homes within a year. The contractor only finished four homes and laid the foundations for 22 homes.
Of the completed homes, the tribe said it ended up costing far more than projected. An engineering firm hired by the tribe later determined the structures weren't sound
The lawsuit was filed in county court.
