A New Mexico tribe is celebrating the grand opening of a new cultural center and museum this weekend.
Acoma Pueblo's original cultural center was destroyed by fire in May 2000. The tribe has spent the last five years building an even bigger facility known as the Sky City Cultural Center and Haak'u Museum
The 40,000 square-foot structure will house the tribe's first archives. The museum will have enough space to hold cultural items that have been repatriated.
The grand opening celebration is on Saturday.
