Six graduating seniors at LaFayette High School will be allowed to wear their traditional regalia during commencement exercises.
Senior Marcia Lyons led the effort for the students to wear their regalia. She said she was happy the school agreed with the students.
The students will have to get their regalia approved by the school's Native American counselor before wearing it on June 25.
About 25 percent of students at LaFayette are Native. The school is near the Onondaga Reservation south of Syracuse.
