A one-car accident on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation claimed the life of an 18-year-old Native man and injured two other young Natives.
Corey Holy died Tuesday at the Indian Health Service hospital on the reservation. He suffered injuries when Dodge pickup truck he was riding in rolled over.
Joni Veit, 19, is still in the hospital but is in good condition. Brandon Clown, 21, was treated at the hospital and released but is in tribal custody for the accident.
The accident remains under investigation. Alcohol may have been a factor.
