The Thunderbird Theatre at Haskell Indian Nations University is premiering two one-act plays this weekend, including one that was written specifically for the group.
Ceremonial and A Season of Indian Art" are new works by playwright Bruce King. A Season of Indian Art," the one written for Thunderbird Theatre, examines tensions between the art world and business interests. "Ceremonial" features a conversation between two Indian men.
King, who won a Haskell playwrighting competition in 1984, will return to the school to talk about his plays.
