The family of a member of the Ramapough Lenape Indian Nation who was shot by a New Jersey state park police officer plans to sue over his death.
Emil Mann died in the hospital on Monday after being critically wounded in an incident with state park police. The state attorney general is investigating what the local county prosecutor has called an abuse of jurisdiction.
Mann's family hired high-profile New York defense attorney Barry Scheck to file a wrongful death civil suit.
