A Northern Cheyenne man is on trial in Billings, Montana, for allegedly murdering his sister's husband in a fight on the street.
Joel White, 47, is charged with deliberate homicide for the death of 53-year-old Gary Temple last June. Temple died after he was stabbed numerous times during a confrontation with White.
Diana Temple, White's sister, was at the scene and tried to stop the fight. When her husband collapsed and she ran to him, she testified that her brother, using the Cheyenne language, threatened to kill her as well.
White is claiming self defense. His attorneys say Temple started the fight.
