The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians has donated $600,000 to the Temecula Valley Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
The money will be used to promote tourism in the Temecula area, where the tribe is based. It is the largest donation of its kind by a tribe in southern California, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.
The tribe operates a casino but the tourism bureau will promote more than gaming.
