A Navajo Nation Council delegate has accused a colleague of a domestic violence incident on Election Day.
LaVern Wagner says she was assaulted by New Mexico State Sen. Leonard Tsosie and his brothers. Tsosie was just elected to the council.
The dispute arose when Wagner was distributing information about Navajo law that prohibits someone like Tsosie from serving in the state legislature and the Navajo council at the same time. Tsosie says he will fight to keep both jobs.
