A 6-year-old Indian boy is hospitalized after being dragged 60 feet by a school bus on the Cattaraugus Reservation in New York.
Shane Stout exited the bus on Friday afternoon when his backpack got caught in the door. The driver didn't notice and kept driving until adults got him to stop.
Shane was able to break free but he suffered injuries to his body, face, head and torso. His cervical collar was removed in the hospital. He could be released in a couple of days.
Shane's mother lives on the Cattaraugus Reservation, which is part of the Seneca Nation. His father lives on the Onondaga Nation. He was in the process of moving in with his father before the accident.
