The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation in Connecticut is getting ready for its annual Schemitzun festival.
Schemitzun, the feast of green corn and dance, is considered to be one of the largest powwows in the United States. It attracts thousands of dancers and dozens of drum groups, who often compete for top prizes.
Schemitzun kicks off Tuesday and runs through Sunday.
