Max Ross, the longtime chief financial officer of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, has been named to the board of directors for Canyon National Bank.
Ross, 41, is an accountant. He has managed the tribe's finances since 1999.
The tribe owns almost 45 percent of Canyon National. Some tribal members also own shares in the bank.
Ross is the ninth member of the board of directors.
