Tuesday, July 25, 2006
The Muckleshoot Tribe of Washington is the host of this year's InterTribal Canoe Journey. More than 70 canoes, from tribes in the United States and Canada, are taking part this year. They are making their way towards the Muckleshoot Reservation near Seattle. Along the route, the canoes are being welcomed by other tribes. About 25 crews are stopping at the Lower Elwha Klallam Reservation today. The wrapup celebration at Muckleshoot begins August 1 and runs through August 5. Thousands are expected. Get the Story:
