Indian City USA, a tourist and cultural attraction in Anadarko, Oklahoma, is still seeking a buyer.
The 198-acre park was put up for sale in 2004 for $3 million. Manager George F. Moran, whose father founded the park in 1955, thinks a deal could be reached soon.
The park used to get about 160,000 people year but attendance has dropped to 50,000 and 60,000. The annual budget is $140,000.
Anadarko City Manager Robert Williamson wants the city to the buy the park but that may not be possible. The city is also worried about the potential loss of the Southern Plains Indian Museum, one of the museums operated by the Indian Arts and Crafts Board.
