New Mexico State University is extending its distance learning program to 12 Pueblos to allow tribal members to take courses and earn degrees over the Internet.

The $2 million Digital Pathways program will offer courses to Cochiti, Acoma, Laguna and Santa Domingo pueblos in the central part of the state, and to Tesque, San Ildefonso, Pojoaque, Santa Clara, Nambe, Ohkay Owingeh, Picuris and Taos in the northern part.

Tribal leaders will help select coursework in order to train people for management positions at tribal businesses.
