Cultural preservation is the focus of the 26th-annual Arizona Indian Town Hall taking place this week.
The town hall kicked off on Monday. The theme is "Preserving Arizona's Tribal Cultural Resources, Sites and Languages."
Participants spoke of the need to preserve sacred sites like Mount Graham. Apache tribes and other tribes are opposing the placement of telescopes at the site.
The conference runs through Wednesday.
