The Washoe Tribe and Wal-Mart both say the megastore is not coming to land the tribe owns in Nevada.
The tribe is often approached about land it owns along Highway 395 south of Gardnerville. But there is no deal with Wal-Mart, tribal and store representatives said.
Rumors about a Wal-Mart in Gardnerville first surfaced last year.
