An Indian Health Service nurse who has worked on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota for 14 years was presented with the agency's national director's award.
Susan Baker is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. She is a certified nurse practitioner with bachelor�s and master�s degrees in nursing.
Baker was recognized for her efforts to improve the health and welfare of people on the reservation.
