San Carlos Apache Tribe meets with ASU faculty

The San Carlos Apache Tribe met with faculty from Arizona State University to discuss education issues.

The tribe learned of ASU programs geared toward tribes and Native Americans, such as the American Indian Policy Center, the Native American Summer Institute and the summer Bridge Program for youth. Both sides discussed how ASU might help the tribe with different projects.

ASU faculty and staff include former assistant secretary Kevin Gover, a professor at the College of Law, and former Navajo Nation chairman Petersen Zah, an advisor to the ASU president.
