A hatchery run by the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho is raising endangered white sturgeon.
With only 500 sturgeon left in the wild, the tribe is trying to revive the endangered fish.
Dams on the Kootenai River have prevented sturgeon from returning home to spawn.
Over the past decade, the tribe has released 80,000 juvenile sturgeon into the Kootenai River. The first adults are expected to start spawning in 2025.
