More than 1,000 fans, family and friends from the Navajo community Navajo, New Mexico, traveled to support their boys basketball team in the state championships.
The Navajo Pine High School Warriors ended the season 26-4 record. They reached the Class 2A semifinals but lost the game 84-50.
Fans say the team hasn't received the attention it deserves. They attribute the lack of media coverage to the isolated and small nature of the community in Navajo.
Another Navajo team, the Ramah Lady Mustangs from Ramah won the 2A state championship title. The girls beat Hope Christian Lady Huskies for the second year in a row.
