Cochiti Pueblo interested in equipment at old base

Cochiti Pueblo, a tribe in north-central New Mexico, is interesting in acquiring equipment and supplies at a naval base in Texas that is being decommissioned.

The tribe responded to a Notice of Availability issued by the U.S. Navy last month. The housing authority asked for equipment, machinery and other supplies for its housing program.

The Navy is planning to close the Naval Station Ingleside so it is publishing a list of inventory on May 1. The Army has expressed an interest in acquiring some of the land at the 1,000-plus acre site.
