The Lori Piestewa National Native American Games will be held at several sites in the Phoenix metro area this year after outgrowing its northern Arizona host cities.
The games have been held in Page and Flagstaff. But due to their popularity -- more than 1,500 athletes showed up last summer -- they will be held on the Fort McDowell Reservation, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Reservation and other Phoenix-area sites.
The four-year-old tournament, the largest amateur Native games, will take place July 20-23.
