The boys basketball team from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana was barred from competing in a divisional tournament after two players were found to be ineligible.
The Montana High School Association disqualified the team on Wednesday. The school went to court to try and re-enter the competition, but a judge denied the request minutes before the tournament game started.
The defeat had the team, family and fans disappointed. Some questioned whether racism was behind the move to disqualify the school.
