DC Native Network, a new network for Native people in Washington and their allies, will be holding its first lunch meeting this Wednesday.

DC2N is being described as a gathering to share information and strategize about Native issues. The meetings are being arranged by Suzan Shown Harjo, the president of the Morning Star Institute; Michael Nephew, the president of the American Indian Society; and Suanne Ware-Diaz, associate general secretary with the United Methodist Church.

The first meeting takes place February 22 from noon to 2pm in Conference Room #3 of the United Methodist Building at 100 Maryland Avenue NE. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch.

DC2N will be meeting every other Wednesday, starting March 8.
