Four men have been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of three people on the Rincon Reservation in California.
Details of the incident are sketchy but police said there appeared to be an ongoing rivalry between the two groups of people involved. Some people said there was a conflict between American Indians and Mexicans who rent homes on the reservation.
Rincon Tribal Council member Charles Kolb said tribal leaders have heard rumors of gang activity on the reservation. He said the shootings have devastated the small community.
According to the 2000 Census, about 1,500 people live on the reservation.
