The Hoopa Valley Tribe and the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians signed an agreement on Thursday to become partners in homebuilding and job creation.

The Hoopa Valley Tribe owns Hoopa Modular Building Enterprise, a modular home construction company that has seen success since launching last fall. The Big Valley Band will now join the picture by selling and assembling homes created by the company.

"If we're going to be successful as Indian people, we have to work with one another," said Big Valley Administrator Marvin Hanson, The Lake County Record-Bee reported.
