David Koenigs, the former executive director of the Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington, was found murdered in Seattle, King 5 Television reports.
Koenigs, 57, was found on Wednesday in a house that had been the scene of a fire. Investigators are trying to determine whether the fire was intentionally set.
The Oregon State Police subsequently arrested three men who were found with Koenigs' car.
Koenigs worked for the tribe in the 1990s and was the former director of the Seattle St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic charity.
