The game of soccer is providing a bridge between a school on the Gila River Reservation and a public school in Chandler, Arizona.
The soccer coach and soccer team at Chandler High School held a clinic on Monday for students at the St. Peter's Indian Mission School. The clinic was held on a new grass field at St. Peter's.
"We're learning a lot," Kevin Barkley, 12, a forward for St. Peter's, told The Arizona Republic. "It's always good to get out and play, but especially with these guys; they're really good. They're teaching us moves, how to improve and get better. It's real nice. They've showed us some tricks and stuff."
St. Peter's has 219 students, ages 5 to 14.
